Mianshan Liguyan

Mianshan Liguyan is one of the fourteen major scenic areas of Mianshan. With a long history, brilliant culture, and picturesque scenery, it was praised by people in the Qing Dynasty as “Of all the rocky wonders visited, none surpass Liguyan.” The temples here were first built during the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty. The monasteries resemble imperial palaces, with thousand-year-old Tang Dynasty clay sculptures, a site where a royal princess once practiced Buddhism, and an atmosphere as refreshing as heaven.
