Fairy Cave Nature Reserve is located in the northwest corner of the autonomous county, covering an area of over 100,000 mu. In this region, every mountain is lush and green, and every stream runs clear. The terrain is majestic, and the forests are dense. But what makes the area most unique is the spectacular wonder of the Fairy Cave karst cave system. This cave system lies on the western bank of the Huiqian River and is divided into three major cave series: upper, middle, and lower, each offering distinct landscapes. The Lower Cave, at an elevation of 650 meters, is situated near the Huiqian River. Its entrance is spacious, featuring a stalactite column that is thick at the top and thin at the bottom, resembling a fairy — hence its name. The Middle Cave, at an elevation of 770 meters, has an entrance that is 3 meters high and 6 meters wide. The main passage stretches 563 meters long, with a section at the end being an underground river where the roaring waters echo through the cave. The Upper Cave, at an elevation of 1050 meters, has its entrance located on a sheer cliff. The tunnel winds and twists, offering even more stunning views.
