Longjiao

Longjiao Village is located in Xinbao Buyi Ethnic Township, Wudang District, in the northeastern part of Guiyang City. It belongs to the Baishuihe area of the Xiangzhigou Provincial Scenic Area and is about 42 kilometers from downtown Guiyang and 48 kilometers from Kaiyang. The village covers an area of approximately 20 square kilometers and consists of five villager groups: Upper and Lower Longjiao, Xiangzigou, Baishuihe, and Hulu Chong, with a total of 223 households and 887 residents. Longjiao Village boasts abundant tourism resources, featuring unique and highly valuable landscapes including mountains, water bodies, rocks, forests, caves, waterfalls, valleys, karst formations, cultural relics, and ethnic customs. Notably outstanding are the natural forests covering over 60% of the area and the abundant water resources. The environment is of high quality, with plentiful water, streams running through every valley, and water clarity rated at levels 1–2. The air and water are largely unpolluted, and there is rich biodiversity among flora and fauna, supporting a healthy ecological cycle. The region has a total of 3,300 hectares of forest, with vegetation and species belonging to the subtropical broad-leaved evergreen forest zone. There are nearly 600 species of vascular plants across 156 families. There are 22 ancient trees with diameters exceeding one meter, over 120 ancient trees with breast heights between 50–100 centimeters, 10 rare and endangered plant species, over 130 ornamental plant species, more than 50 types of wild vegetables, and over 40 kinds of wild fruits. Wildlife includes 116 species of vertebrates—9 fish, 12 amphibians, 12 reptiles, 62 birds, and 21 mammals. The vast stretches of natural forest and abundant water sources, combined with the local topography, showcase a diverse array of natural landscapes that form the core attraction of the scenic area.
