The Laping Aqueduct

The Laping Aqueduct is a cultural heritage protection unit of Wudang District.

The Laping Aqueduct is located in Laping Village, Xiaba Town, and was built in 1971. It is classified as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

On October 20, 2014, the Laping Aqueduct was designated as part of the third batch of district-level cultural heritage protection units.

Xiaba Town: 2013 administrative division adjustment: Wudang District decided to abolish the townships of Xinchang, Xiaba, and Baiyi, converting them into the towns of Xinchang, Xiaba, and Baiyi respectively. After the transformation from township to town, the original administrative boundaries remained unchanged.

I. Geographic Location: Xiaba Town in Wudang District is situated in the northeastern part of Wudang District. It borders Longli to the east, Pianpo and Dongfeng to the south, Shuitian and Xinpu to the west, and connects to Baiyi Township to the north. The total area of the town is 106.27 square kilometers, accounting for 11.1% of the entire district's area.
