Chengdu Sports Center is located at No. 11, Section 1, Renmin Middle Road, Chengdu, situated in the bustling commercial hub of the city. Covering an area of 140 acres, its football stadium can accommodate over 40,000 spectators. The main building features a novel design, grand and imposing, making it one of the iconic structures in Chengdu. The sports center has spacious grounds, lush green lawns, colorful flower beds, and well-equipped facilities that complement the main structure. It serves as a large-scale comprehensive sports venue integrating sports competitions, social events, fitness and recreation, cultural performances, commercial activities, amateur training, business operations, and catering and accommodation services.

The sports center houses a youth amateur sports school that offers various types of athletic training. Currently, the training programs include football, track and field, basketball, tennis, gateball, roller skating, table tennis, and a golf driving range.

Since 1992, the sports center has hosted more than 260 major international and domestic events, such as the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Chinese Football Association Jia League, and the National Athletics Championships, attracting a total of 6 million spectators. It has also successfully organized significant political, economic, and cultural events, including the National Book Fair, the International Panda Festival, the National Sugar and Wine Fair, the opening ceremony of national conferences, large-scale solo concerts, bargain commodity fairs, and various professional product exhibitions, as well as numerous social awareness campaigns.
