Chengdu Mengyuan Museum was established in November 2004. The official opening date was August 1, 2005. In 2011, due to urban development planning, the museum relocated at the end of 2011 to the second floor of Building 1, Shengshi Caotang, No. 10, Section 2, Second Ring Road West, Chengdu. The exhibition space also includes only three galleries: the Buddha Statue Gallery, the Comprehensive Gallery, and the Calligraphy and Painting Gallery, displaying over 300 exhibits. The folk relics collected by Mengyuan Museum date from as early as the pre-Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods through the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, covering cultural artifacts from various dynasties, all of which hold considerable historical and artistic value. As a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Wang once wrote in a poem: “What brings joy in life? To serve the motherland. For the rejuvenation of China, I must fulfill my duty.” Therefore, he actively took on the role of a protector and promoter of cultural relics. His goal is to encourage more people to participate in the reverence and preservation of Chinese civilization and artifacts, to jointly promote national culture and the spirit of the Chinese nation, and to allow more people to enjoy the soul-stirring art.
