Shicun Site (Fourth Batch Provincial-Level Protected Site)

Era: Western Zhou – Han Dynasty

Address: Quting Town, Dahuaishu Town, and Subao Town, Hongtong County

The site centers around Shicun, stretching 5 km from east to west and 3 km from north to south, covering a total area of 15 square kilometers. It contains ancient cultural remains and tombs. Exposed cultural layers are visible across the surface. In the cultural layer of the Yanghouguo ancient city ruins in Fancun, artifacts such as pottery tripods, pottery dou (food vessels), pottery basins, and pottery drainage pipes have been discovered. In looted shafts in the ancient tomb area of Xiyinbi Village, pottery tripods, pottery pots, pottery basins, and painted pottery items have been unearthed. Recovered stolen items include one green-glazed pottery tower, one bronze flat-lidded tripod with four knobs, and three bronze lidded tripods with three knobs.
