Also known as the Tomb of the Goddess Nüwa, the original construction date is unknown. According to the Pingyang Prefecture Records, it was renovated in the sixth year of the Tianbao era (747 AD) during the Tang Dynasty. It underwent multiple repairs in subsequent dynasties after the Tang. The original Tomb of Nüwa was grand in scale, featuring an architectural style of great imperial magnificence. An inscription from the Song Dynasty states: “One hundred paces from north to south, nine mats from east to west.” The original structures no longer exist. Currently, within the tomb site there are two massive steles from the sixth year of the Kaibao era (973 AD) and the fourteenth year of the Zhiyuan era (1277 AD) during the Yuan Dynasty, three ancient cypress trees over a thousand years old, one “Sky-Mending Stone,” as well as more than thirty stone tablets from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
