The Haita Shangri-La Tourist Scenic Area in Panzhihua City is located at the source of Longdong River in Miyi County, 30 kilometers from the county town, at an altitude of 1,900 meters. The area of Haita Lake is about 600,000 square meters, shaped like a crescent moon, and is also known as Moon Lake. The landscape of Haita resembles the hull of a boat. Legend says that in the past, to moor this “boat,” people constructed a hexagonal white pagoda on the mountain as an anchor pile, which gave the place its name “Haita” (meaning “Sea Pagoda”). Thanks to its lush vegetation and vast waters, the air here is exceptionally fresh, filled with the fragrance of flowers and trees, rich in oxygen ions. The landscape resembles a painting scroll, and visitors find themselves immersed in the scenery — a feast for the eyes and a delight to the soul.
