The Nanxi City Wall is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Nanxi City Wall was originally the city wall of the former Nanxi County seat, located in Nanxi District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, China. The existing section of the Nanxi City Wall stretches over 1,000 meters, with three city gates still standing: Wenming Gate, Guangfu Gate, and Wangying Gate.

In December 1985, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Nanxi County; in 2007, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province; in 2013, it was included in the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Protected Area: Extending east to Bishuiyuan Residential Community and west to Binjiang Shoufu, with a total length of 1,109 meters. The front and rear outer edges of the gate towers of “Wenming Gate,” “Guangfu Gate,” and “Wangying Gate” extend 5 meters outward. The section of the wall from the “Wangying Gate” tower to Binjiang Square extends 1 meter northward, and 20 meters eastward and southward. The section from Binjiang Square to the “Wenming Gate” tower extends 2 meters northward and 8 meters southward. The section from the “Wenming Gate” tower to the “Guangfu Gate” tower extends 4 meters northward and 20 meters southward. The section from the “Guangfu Gate” tower to the western corner of the city extends 10 meters northward and 20 meters southward.

Construction Control Zone: The protected areas on the east, west, and north sides of the walls of the “Wenming Gate,” “Guangfu Gate,” and “Wangying Gate” towers extend 5 meters outward, while the southern side extends to the Yangtze River.
