The Lotus Flowers Islet Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Lotus Flowers Islet Scenic Area is located in Taoping Township, Changning County, Sichuan Province. It boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. The area earned its name during the Qing Dynasty (1778), when literati and poets from southern Sichuan frequently visited the scholar Liu Xiangting’s residence to tour, compose poetry, and engage in literary exchanges. They admired the lotus leaves in spring and the sunlit lotus blossoms in summer.

Lotus Flowers Islet is situated in Zhongba Village, Taoping Township, and currently has 1,000 acres dedicated to lotus cultivation.

Taoping Township: Located in the southeastern part of Changning County, Taoping Township borders Jiang’an County. To the east is Diping Town, to the south are Wanling Town and Wanli Town, to the west is Zhuhai Town, and to the north are Changning Town and Laoweng Town. The “Zhuhai–Taoping–Laoweng” highway runs through the entire township, connecting all villages. The full acceptance of village-level roads will rewrite the history of Taoping having only entry–exit roads but no intra-village roads. The area features a mix of plains, hills, and mountains, with superior geographical location and natural conditions.
