Rhino Gazing at the Moon: The largest island in the lake, it is said to be the landing spot of the Queen Mother of the West when she descended to search for the Seven Fairies, originally called the Queen Mother’s Island. It resembles a rhinoceros lying in the lake, gazing up at the sky.

Twisting Boat Ride: From Qigu Dang to Baihelin, the lake water winds several times, creating a poetic, secluded path. "Matayayan Waterfall": Reaching a height of eighty or ninety meters, it forms a three-tiered waterfall with a majestic presence.

Chuan Dongzi: A natural overpass spanning the Jiangjia River, with an upper cave above a lower one

, allowing people to walk through the upper tunnel while water flows beneath through the lower one — a rare natural wonder.

Introduction

Qixian Lake Water Resort Scenic Area is located in Fuxing Town, Gao County, over 40 kilometers from Yibin City. It is the largest mountainous reservoir-style lake in Yibin, covering a water area of 2,632 mu, with a shoreline stretching over 70 kilometers and a total scenic area of more than 50 square kilometers.

Surrounded by undulating mountains, Qixian Lake is like a radiant pearl nestled among rolling peaks, offering breathtaking and enchanting scenery. Legend has it that the lake is where the Seven Fairies descended to bathe, hence its name. The lake boasts numerous islands and excellent water quality, featuring attractions such as Daggu Island, Couple’s Island, Twisting Boat Ride, and Nanmu Pass Moon Gazing, along with many legendary sites related to the myths of the Seven Fairies.

The scenic area features winding lakeshores, crisscrossing waterways, serene and clear waters, and lush surroundings. In the vast misty waters, small islands are scattered across the lake, including Daggu Island, Xiaoggu Island, Couple’s Island, Sisters’ Island, and Embroidered Ball Island, arranged at varying distances. On the lake, fishing boats spread their nets, pleasure boats glide along, wild ducks take flight in flocks, and egrets sing in formation... presenting a quintessential riverside pastoral scene.

The Qixian Lake Scenic Area consists of the central Qixian Lake area, Chuan Dongzi Cave, and Baima Lake Scenic Area.

Transportation

Qixian Lake is located within Gao County. From Yibin, you can take a bus from Yibin to Shahe and get off at Qixian Lake. There are four buses daily from 9:50 AM to 6:00 PM, approximately every two hours. Buses from Gao County to Shahe also pass through Qixian Lake, with four daily services from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, every three hours. From Shahe, there are seven buses passing through Qixian Lake to Yibin and Gao County, departing at 7:00, 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 13:00, 15:00, and 16:00.

Qixian Lake is located in Gao County. From Yibin, you can take a bus from Yibin to Shahe and get off at Qixian Lake. There are four buses daily from 9:50 to 18:00, approximately every two hours. Buses from Gao County to Shahe also pass through Qixian Lake, with four daily services from 7:00 to 16:00, running every three hours. From Shahe, there are seven buses that pass through Qixian Lake on their way to Yibin and Gao County, departing at 7:00, 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 13:00, 15:00, and 16:00.
