The Golden-Sanded Path

The Golden-Sanded Path extends about 1,500 meters from the Body-Washing Cave to the Suoluo Color Pools, covering a width of 70–120 meters. This stretch features a travertine slope primarily in golden-yellow hues, accented by patches of milky white, gray, and dark green. A delicate sheet of water flows over the surface, often shimmering with silvery ripples caused by the layered, scale-like calcium formations. The scene resembles a golden river spilling jewels and a silver stream overflowing. Clusters of water willows and wildflowers scattered across the travertine path look like colorful boats drifting on the water. Visitors walking here may feel as though they are floating in a dreamlike, otherworldly realm.
