Qixiagou is located on the southern slope of YanYang Mountain in the northwestern part of Songpan County, within a tributary valley of Yangdong River. It is 50 km from downtown Songpan, 78 km from the main scenic area of Huanglong, 116 km from Jiuzhaigou, and 47 km from Jiuhuang Airport, covering an area of approximately 80 square kilometers. The terrain of Qixiagou is marked by rolling mountains and deep valleys, primarily composed of canyons, with an elevation ranging from 3,100 to 3,900 meters. The average annual temperature in the scenic area is around 5°C. Qixiagou is a comprehensive tourist destination integrating high-altitude waterfalls, travertine pools, pristine forests, meadows, alpine canyons, and rare wildlife. The area boasts over ten uniquely featured lakes of various sizes and more than 50 travertine pools consisting of over 1,000 individual formations. The calcium deposits in the water, together with sunlight and forests, create a stunning array of karst landforms above, on, and below the water surface. Coupled with the unique highland climate and atmospheric phenomena, Qixiagou holds significant aesthetic and scientific research value.

Scenic Introduction: Qixiagou boasts uniquely shaped mountains, long and serene valleys, dense forests, and a rich diversity of plant species and vegetation types. The area naturally hosts over a thousand species of high-altitude plants, with well-preserved vegetation communities and a stable, balanced ecosystem. The overlapping mountain ridges and lush green forests create a breathtaking scene. Towering ancient trees fill the woods, with vines draping down to the ground, while arrow bamboo, red willows, and azaleas grow abundantly beneath. Mosses thrive extensively on the ground, rocks, and tree trunks, representing typical subtropical vegetation. Influenced by climatic distribution, the scenic area exhibits a distinct and intact vertical zonation of plant life. It also serves as an ideal habitat for a variety of wild animals, including takins, golden monkeys, clouded leopards, and numerous bird species, with over 300 kinds of wildlife calling it home.
