Qixiagou Ice and Snow Happy Valley is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Qixiagou Ice and Snow Happy Valley is located in the northwest of Songpan County, about 32 kilometers from the county seat, 18 kilometers from Chuanzhusi Town, and 26 kilometers from Jiuhuang Airport, covering an area of approximately 2,627.1 hectares. The terrain of Qixiagou is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, featuring undulating mountains, crisscrossing valleys, deep and dense forests, grasslands, and waterfalls and lakes, each with their own unique features. The altitude ranges from 3,320 meters to 4,376 meters, and the average annual temperature in the scenic area is 5°C, with the hottest month (August) reaching 13°C. The area experiences large annual and daily temperature variations. Snow begins to fall here every October, making it the only place in China where you can ski in the sun. In addition, Qixiagou Ice and Snow Happy Valley allows visitors to enjoy snow and snow activities all year round, thanks to its 8,000-square-meter dry ski slope, ensuring skiing is possible regardless of time, season, or geographic limitations.

Qixiagou Ski Resort is equipped with 1,000 sets of world-renowned ski equipment, multiple standard ski runs that can accommodate 2,000 skiers simultaneously, and a fleet of imported snowmobiles, offering a variety of snow amusement activities. It also features an alpine grass skiing field with 600 sets of imported grass skiing equipment, adding year-round playability to the resort. In addition to skiing on snowboards and skis, the resort offers a wide range of entertainment options such as snowmobile rides, off-road vehicles, snow carts, grass carts, a colorful downhill slide, a children’s snow park, rafting, an archery field, yak-pulled sleigh rides, and water (or ice) parks for both summer and winter seasons. Moreover, the park is adorned with exquisitely crafted ice and snow sculptures for visitors to admire and even experience the art of ice and snow sculpting firsthand.

Qixiagou Ice and Snow Happy Valley is the only place in China where you can ski in the sunshine. In addition to its natural snow slopes, the resort also features an 8,000-square-meter dry ski area that allows visitors to ski all year round.
