Xuyong Guanjingba Well

The Xuyong Guanjingba Well is a cultural relic protection unit of Xuyong County.

The Xuyong Guanjingba Well is located in Xuyong Town and dates back to the Qing Dynasty, classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On December 18, 2019, the People's Government of Xuyong County designated the Xuyong Guanjingba Well as a cultural relic protection unit under the fourth batch of county-level heritage sites.

Xuyong Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Xuyong County and the seat of the county government. Historically, it was a key route from eastern Sichuan to Yunnan and Guizhou, and one of the ports for exporting Sichuan salt. During the Ming Dynasty, it was the seat of the Yongning Pacification Commission and Yongning Guard; in the Qing Dynasty, it served as the administrative center of Xuyong Direct-Controlled Prefecture and Yongning Zhou. In 1933, it was established as Zhongcheng Town, renamed Shuangcheng Town in 1942, divided into Dongcheng and Xicheng Towns in 1951, merged into Chengguan Town in 1956, and renamed Xuyong Town in 1981. It is located in the central part of the county, spanning both banks of the Yongning River. The area covers 117.6 square kilometers with a population of 86,000.
