The Tomb of Chen Dengjue and His Wife is a cultural relic protection unit of Xuyong County.

The Tomb of Chen Dengjue and His Wife is located in Shuiliaoyi Yi Ethnic Township, Xuyong County, and is a county-level cultural relic protection site.

Protected Area: A 4-meter area extending outward from the main body of the tomb constitutes the protected area.

Construction Control Zone: To the east, 3 meters beyond the protected area; to the south, 4 meters from the protected area to the road of Shuiliaoyi Central School; to the west, approximately 2 meters from the protected area to the home of street resident Luo Yong; to the north, approximately 1 meter from the protected area to the land of Luo Kuofang. This area is designated as the construction control zone.

Shuiliaoyi Yi Ethnic Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Xuyong County. It was established as Shuiliaoyi Township in 1950, reorganized as a commune in 1958, and transferred from Gulin County to Xuyong County in 1963. In 1984, it was established as Shuiliaoyi Yi Ethnic Township, and in 1992, Tanchang Township was incorporated into it. Located in the southwestern part of the county, it borders Chishui River to the south, across which lie Guizhou Province and Yunnan Province, and adjoins Yunnan Province to the west. Known as a place where “a rooster’s crow can be heard in three provinces,” it is 92 kilometers from the county seat.
