Berlin Wangjiawang Catholic Church is a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Berlin Wangjiawang Catholic Church is located in Youxian District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. The historical site is dated to 1913. On July 16, 2012, it was announced as part of the eighth batch of Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Berlin Wangjiawang Catholic Church is located in Luoshui Village, Bailing Town, Youxian District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. It was built under the supervision of French missionary Father Bailishan, facing west with its back to the east. The complex consists of a church nave, a priests’ building, and a scripture academy, arranged in a concave layout. It features a brick-and-wood structure with traditional Chinese grey-tiled roofing, representing a Sino-Western fusion of Gothic architecture, covering an area of approximately 6,000 square meters. On the southern side of the church, there are two towers on either side of the main facade, with three doors in the center. Above the doors are three pointed high windows and a bronze Latin plaque inscribed with “VENITE AD ME OMNES.” A cross stands atop. The interior follows a Latin cross plan, with two rows of 18 pillars in total extending from both sides of the main entrance to the altar at the eastern end, forming a three-aisled nave. The church is 32.96 meters long, 12.56 meters wide, and 14.25 meters high. The interior walls feature 10 symmetrically arranged arched stained-glass windows on each side, with decorative plum blossom-shaped window panels near the top. Berlin Wangjiawang Catholic Church remains well-preserved, blending many traditional Chinese architectural elements with Western classical styles. It stands as a testament to cultural exchanges between East and West in modern times, possessing significant cultural and artistic value.

Protected Area: The boundary is based on the church’s footprint, extending 70 meters eastward, 25 meters westward, 20 meters southward, and 20 meters northward.

Construction Control Zone: The protected area is further extended 16 meters eastward, 7 meters westward, 7 meters southward, and 7 meters northward.
