The Pingwu Impression Plum Blossom Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Pingtong Plum Blossom Grove is situated in Weigan Village, Pingtong Town, Pingwu County, Mianyang City. Covering an area of more than 11,000 acres, the scenic area is divided into three main sections: Huangnibaping, Old Impression Plum Grove, and Ancient Plum Garden. In “Huangnibaping,” newly cultivated plum blossoms complement a variety of other flowering fruits and rapeseed blooms, creating a distinctive and charming landscape. The “Old Impression Plum Grove” features vast clusters of stunningly beautiful plum blossoms. Within the area, Damoping offers flat terrain and wide vistas, along with stretches of pine forests. The “Ancient Plum Garden” is home to numerous century-old plum trees with uniquely striking shapes, offering breathtaking scenery.

The Pingtong Plum Blossom Grove is located in Weigan Village, Pingtong Town, approximately 38 kilometers from Jiangyou City, with good road conditions. Visitors can access the scenic area via the original Provincial Highway 205, starting either from the Linjiaba Shangchangkou Lingshang site (formerly the highway entrance on Provincial Road 205) in Pingtong Town or from the Sanqiao Road Maintenance site in Xiangyan Town.

The Pingtong Plum Blossom Grove covers a total area of over 11,000 acres, consisting of three major areas: Huangnibaping, Old Impression Plum Grove, and Ancient Plum Garden. In “Huangnibaping,” new plum varieties flourish alongside diverse fruit blossoms and rapeseed flowers, forming a uniquely picturesque scene. The “Old Impression Plum Grove” presents majestic and beautiful expanses of plum blossoms. The area’s Damoping features flat and open landscapes with sweeping views and large stretches of pine woods. The “Ancient Plum Garden” is distinguished by its abundance of centenarian plum trees, each with uniquely fascinating forms, making it an exquisitely beautiful sight.

The optimal season for plum blossom viewing in Pingtong Grove is from early February to late March. To date, the Pingtong Town government has successfully hosted three Plum Blossom Festivals, attracting a large number of visitors to admire the blossoms. Additionally, Pingtong Plum Blossom Grove has been named one of the “Top Ten Flower Viewing Spots in Mianyang.”
