The Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas is located on Guanwu Mountain in Wudu Town, Jiangyou City. It was built during the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty. Only the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas and the small courtyards on either side remain, with the hall being relatively well-preserved. The structure is a two-story wooden building with a double-eaved hipped-gable roof, facing east. It is six bays wide and three bays deep, comprising two levels. The first floor serves as the main hall, standing 6 meters high, containing several trikaya Buddha statues and arhats, and is used by worshippers for incense offerings and by Buddhists for religious activities. The second floor functions as a meditation room, standing 4 meters high. A staircase on the exterior of the first floor leads to the second. The inner walls feature a number of murals as well as inscriptions left by monks and visitors. The entire structure is 12 meters high, 30 meters long, and over 10 meters wide, making it an impressive sight. The column capitals both inside and outside the hall are mounted on stone lion bases, displaying fine craftsmanship. The iron bell of Guanwu Mountain is cast from wrought iron, with raised characters on its surface indicating its manufacturing details, including the names of donors, casters, and sponsors. The bell has an open mouth, with the lower opening diameter measuring 1.5 meters and the waist diameter at 1.1 meters. The bell’s knob is decorated with an animal design and stands 1.7 meters tall in total. There is currently one damaged section on the waist, with a crack area of 25.4 square centimeters. The inscription reads “The 20th Year of the Guangxu Reign of the Great Qing.” The Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas at Jile Temple is one of the representative examples of Qing Dynasty temple architecture in Jiangyou City and holds certain historical value.
