Wenmiao Temple in Zhangming County is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangyou City.

Wenmiao Temple in Zhangming County is located within the campus of Zhangming Middle School in Group 5, Changming Village, Zhangming Town. It was built during the Qing Dynasty. Currently, only the main hall remains, facing southwest from the northeast, covering an area of 160 square meters. It features a flush-gable roof, has a rectangular floor plan, and is built upon a stone masonry and rammed earth platform. The structure includes six square stone pillars, with square stone plinths at the base, and employs a raised-beam wooden framework. The hall is three bays wide (14.3 meters) and two bays deep (10.9 meters), enclosed by brick walls on all sides. The front eaves have wooden panel doors and windows, while the gable walls have wooden latticed windows. Yin-script inscriptions reading “The 14th Year of the Guangxu Reign, Qing Dynasty” are imprinted on the brick walls. The roof is covered with blue tiles, with a central ridge tile course directly laid between rafters, and includes angled drip tiles at the eaves. A circular stone drainage channel is built along the perimeter of the platform, and four-tiered stepped ramps are installed at the front center bay. Wenmiao Temple in Zhangming County holds certain value for the study of Qing Dynasty architecture, local customs, and folk culture in the region.
