Dahe Ancient Village

Dahe Village is located at the border of Shanxi and Henan provinces, in the southeast of Huguan County, Changzhi City, in the heart of the Taihang Mountain Tourism Development Zone. It neighbors the Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area of the Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon. Situated at an altitude of over 400 meters, the village yields two harvests per year. With a population of around 800, most villagers make their living through tourism-related businesses, making it an ideal destination for tourism development. After years of development, Dahe Ancient Village has now established a range of attractions, including natural landscapes and outdoor activities centered around Qinglong Gorge, the passionate rafting experience on the Dahe River, and the China Climbing Base International Climbing Competition; cultural routes highlighting Buddhist heritage, such as the Buddha Longevity Pagoda, the Gratitude Hermitage, the Buddha Destiny Bridge, and the Guanyin Temple; and sites that blend history, culture, and educational value, such as the ancient Jin-Yu trade route posthouse on the Dahe Pass, the old inn where Cao Cao is said to have stayed, and the Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon National Geopark Museum. The village also offers accommodation, dining, and entertainment services through its three-star Dahe Hotel and a variety of guesthouses and farm stays catering to different needs.
