Location: Xincun Village, Jidian Township, Huguan County, Changzhi City

The founding date of Xincun Dayu Temple is unknown. It faces south and features a single-courtyard layout, covering a total area of 790 square meters. The main existing building, the Main Hall, is a remnant from the Yuan Dynasty, while the rest of the structures date from the Qing Dynasty. Along the central axis are a newly built Mountain Gate, Offering Hall, and Main Hall, with side halls on both sides, a West Side Tower, and an East Side Hall.

The Main Hall stands on a stone platform base that is 1.4 meters high. It has three bays in width and six rafters in depth, with a nearly square floor plan. The front eaves have been modified. It features a single-eave hip-and-gable roof. The interior beam frame consists of four rafters with a bucket arch over the front bay. The roof purlins are supported by brackets. There is a horizontal beam under the eaves. The columns below have bracket arms. The front eave columns feature bracket sets with single-layered ang, and the eave brackets are arranged in a tiered fashion. The side bays also adopt a similar configuration. The central bay features intercolumnar brackets, while the side bays use a different bracket arrangement. The hall ceiling is adorned with caisson ceilings, and the space beneath them is richly decorated. The construction techniques are relatively intact and preserve distinctive structural and decorative features of their respective eras. Xincun Village: Overview

Xincun Village, Jidian Township, Huguan County, is located 8 kilometers north of the county seat and 15 kilometers from Changzhi City. Provincial Road Qingli passes through the village. Xincun features flat terrain, convenient transportation, and abundant local produce. The village is divided into three streets—East, South, and North—and includes 11 production teams and 10 Party subgroups. Since 2004, accounting has shifted from team-based to unified village-level management. The village has a total of 1,217 households and a population of 2,900, including 359 non-agricultural residents. There are 2,480 mu of sandy soil farmland.
