The Fragrant Flower Countryside Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Fragrant Flower Countryside Circular Agriculture Demonstration Park is one of the first provincial-level leisure agriculture-themed demonstration parks and a key municipal project in Zigong from 2016 to 2020. It is an innovative enterprise that combines traditional garden floriculture with ecological circular agriculture, facility agriculture, and leisure agriculture through a cross-sector model. Since its opening, it has achieved a total comprehensive income of 55 million yuan and received over 1.45 million visitors.

The park is located in Aiyi Ancient Town, a key town in China’s well-known well-salt cultural tourism area. The junction of Zigong’s northern and southern ring roads, which serve as the city’s main road transportation hubs, is situated here. It also lies on the central arterial road of Zigong’s urban expansion. The site is just 3 km from the main urban area of Gongjing, 7 km (a 20-minute drive) from the city center, and 5 km from the highway entrance. It enjoys uniquely superior geographical advantages for leisure agriculture sightseeing and tourism.

The company has consistently adhered to a low-carbon economic sustainable development strategy characterized by the “Three Lows and Three Highs” (low energy consumption, low emissions, low pollution; high efficiency, high productivity, high returns). Based on the development models of leisure agriculture and modern circular agriculture, it integrates garden floriculture with modern rural tourism, employing a cross-sector model that incorporates the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries to achieve agricultural technological advancement, landscape-oriented farming, and the industrialization of farming culture. By transforming farmland into parks and production areas into scenic spots, it fundamentally changes the production, ecology, and lifestyle of agriculture and rural areas. It pioneers a new model for the development of modern service industries in our city and adds new attractions to our tourism and modern agriculture sectors.

Attractions in the park include: Flower Stream Waterfall, Dragon Spirit Lake, Five Grains Abundance, Ribbon World, Rainbow Avenue, Dinosaur World, Secluded Path, Zodiac New Year, Floral Shadow Corridor, and Historic Salt Well Frame.

The park has currently acquired 1,500 acres of land, with 1,000 acres dedicated to the planting of seedlings, flowers, and trees, and 350 acres for ecological fish farming. The “Nourish Heart Pavilion” can accommodate nearly 1,000 people for rehabilitation and elderly care, with 200 beds available in the first phase. It features a 2,500-square-meter restaurant and entertainment area, capable of simultaneously serving 1,000 people for dining and leisure. The scenic area is fully equipped with tourism facilities such as roads, corridors, bridges, and pavilions. At peak times, it receives up to 10,000 visitors per day. In 2017, the company was recognized by Zigong’s “Poverty Alleviation Council” as a demonstration base for industrial poverty alleviation and training, and was awarded the title of Industrial Demonstration Base by the Zigong Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang and the Gongjing Branch. The company was also honored as a “Love Enterprise for 20 Years of Poverty Alleviation in Zigong” by the Zigong Municipal People’s Government, and has been consecutively awarded the title of “Star of Poverty Alleviation in Zigong” for three years.
