Liangshan Large Stone Tomb Cluster

The Liangshan Large Stone Tomb Cluster is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The large stone tomb cluster is primarily distributed along the Anning River basin in southwestern Sichuan, found in counties and cities such as Mianning, Xide, Xichang, Dechang, and Miyi. The Wangsuo Large Stone Tomb Cluster in Dechang County and the Wuhe Large Stone Tomb Cluster in Xide County are currently the two best-preserved and most typical examples.

The Wangsuo Large Stone Tomb is located in Group 1 of Wangsuo Village, about 4 kilometers southwest of Dechang County. There are three large stone tombs in this area, covering a site area of 7,500 square meters. The tombs are rectangular in shape, with chambers enclosed by large stones and covered by several large stone slabs. The entrances are sealed with smaller stones. They measure 8.5–17.90 meters in length, 1.70–3.60 meters in width, and 0.50–1.60 meters in height. The stones are mostly granite, and the tombs are generally well-preserved.

The Wuhe Large Stone Tomb Cluster is located about 11 kilometers northwest of Xide County, on the northern side of Group 2 of Wuhe Village, Miyashan Town, approximately 50 meters away. The tombs are distributed on a slope along the southern bank of the Sunshui River, a tributary of the Anning River, with a total of nine tombs covering an area of 2,000 square meters. The tombs range from 2.50–4.45 meters in length, 1.35–3.20 meters in width, and 0.35–2.10 meters in height. They are rectangular in shape, with vertical stone slabs forming the chamber walls, topped with massive stone slabs, and constructed from granite.

1. Wangsuo Large Stone Tomb (Dechang County)

Protected Area: M1 extends 20 meters eastward, M2 extends 20 meters southward, M3 extends 20 meters westward, and a line connecting the northern edges of M1 and M3 extends 20 meters outward.

Construction Control Zone: Extends 10 meters beyond the protected area.

2. Wuhe Large Stone Tomb (Xide County)

Protected Area: M8 extends 5 meters eastward, M1 extends 5 meters southward, M2 extends 5 meters westward, and M5 extends 5 meters northward.

Construction Control Zone: Extends 3 meters beyond the protected area.
