Shuanggui Mountain National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Shuanggui Mountain (also known as Luming Mountain) National Forest Park is located on the banks of the Yangtze River in Fengdu County, Chongqing. Established in 1992, it covers a total area of 100 hectares.

Shuanggui Mountain stands at an elevation of 401 meters and faces the renowned Mountain Ming. Its peaks resemble a brush rack. In the fourth year of the Jiayou era of the Northern Song Dynasty (1059 AD), the father-and-son trio of Su Xun, Su Shi, and Su Zhe traveled from Meishan to Bianjing (now Kaifeng, Henan Province) and passed through Fengdu. They visited Shuanggui Mountain, left behind timeless masterpieces such as “Fairy Capital Mountain Deer,” and contributed to the beautiful legend of the “white deer’s nightly welcome for honored guests.”

The park boasts lush forests, birds singing in chorus, gurgling streams, and misty clouds. Pavilions, towers, terraces, and gazebos are tucked among the green trees and blooming flowers, giving the area a reputation for being steep, serene, and ancient. Within the park, there are over 20 scenic spots, including the Welcome Gate, Enlai Pavilion, He Long Pavilion, Protect-the-Nation Temple, Grand View Garden, Folk Culture Museum, Evil-Suppressing Tower, Su Gong Ancestral Hall, Fengdu Confucian Temple, Bell and Drum Tower, Nine-Dragon Wall, Han Brick Wall, Dacheng Hall, Daozi Hall, and Guanyin Pavilion. These have attracted numerous domestic and international visitors throughout history, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Three Gorges scenic area along the Yangtze River.

After years of afforestation, Shuanggui Mountain now has over 500,000 trees of various species and more than 100 types of plants and flowers, including over 20 rare tree species. The bamboo garden, osmanthus garden, banana garden, and peach garden have all reached considerable scale.

During the Ghost City Temple Fair (on the third day of the third lunar month) and major holidays, colorful and legendary lantern festivals are held here. Pilgrims gather from all directions. Candles light up the sky, incense smoke curls in the air, and bells and drums ring together.

Shuanggui Mountain National Forest Park is located about 172 kilometers east of Chongqing city, in the northwest corner of Fengdu County, overlooking Mountain Ming. It stands 401 meters high and covers an area of approximately 1 square kilometer. The mountain is home to over 500,000 trees of more than 100 species, including over 20 rare tree species.
