Chongqing Nafeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. is a company primarily engaged in the research, development, and cultivation of tropical and subtropical fruits, with a focus on specialty pitaya cultivation, as well as the development of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. In 2013, the company collaborated with South China Agricultural University, the South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Qingzhou Fruit Tree Research Institute in Shandong Province. Based on the soil and climatic conditions of Kaixian, it has carried out research and demonstration planting of premium fruit varieties from both northern and southern regions. It has now established a research and planting base covering more than 2,000 acres in the Houba Modern Agricultural Park. This includes 250 acres of pitaya and 1,500 acres of premium fruits such as “chocolate crisp persimmon,” “papaya,” “Taiwan green jujube,” “winter peach,” “American cherries,” and “late-maturing lychee.” The pitaya base is currently the largest in Chongqing. From July to November each year, visitors can not only pick the fruit but also enjoy the stunningly beautiful pitaya flowers blooming at night. In October 2015, our company participated in the Kaizhou Famous Dishes and Snacks event, and the “papaya crucian carp soup” we prepared was selected as a “Kaizhou Specialty Dish.” The garden regularly hosts fruit-picking activities and is a premium agricultural destination offering green, organic, and safe produce, parent-child interactive leisure, a return to pastoral life, and the joy of harvesting.
