Muzhayang Health Tourism Area

Muzhayang Health Tourism Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Entrusted by the Chongqing Municipal Tourism Attractions Quality Rating Committee, the Secretariat of the Chongqing Tourism Association dispatched an evaluation inspection team to assess the application of Muzhayang Health Tourism Area in Manyue Township for 3A-level tourist attraction status. The expert panel spoke highly of the area’s distinctive and stunning natural landscapes as well as its sizable homestay aggregation zone, and offered constructive suggestions for the area’s future planning and development. The experts unanimously agreed that Muzhayang Tourism Area fully meets all the criteria for a 3A-level scenic spot, and the evaluation was successfully passed.

The area boasts exceptionally rich natural resources, with vast alpine meadows found throughout and herds of horses and sheep dotting the landscape. It is home to natural attractions such as Suokou Gorge, Manyue Trough, Gou’erping, Muzhayang, Longdong, Shizibao, and Huijizhai, and has become one of the best summer retreats in Kaizhou District.

It is reported that during the summer and autumn seasons each year, the Muzhayang Health Tourism Area frequently features sea of clouds phenomena, especially after rainstorms when the skies clear — the sea of clouds becomes particularly breathtaking and ever-changing... Especially after rainfall clears, the Muzhayang Health Tourism Area in Manyue Township, Kaizhou District, presents undulating waves of clouds and radiant sunshine, showcasing the most spectacular sea of clouds spectacle.
