Martyrs' Cemetery of Li Weiru

The Martyrs' Cemetery of Li Weiru is located in Dashun Township, Fuling District, about 55 kilometers from downtown Fuling. Built in 1948, it covers an area of 10 mu. The cemetery includes the martyr Li Weiru's tomb, statue, exhibition room, memorial hall, deeds wall, and relief wall, showcasing the glorious life of Martyr Li Weiru. The exhibition room displays portraits of the martyr, as well as his bed, desk, kerosene lamp, books, and other personal belongings, along with introductions to his revolutionary deeds during his lifetime. The memorial hall contains relevant texts and audiovisual materials. The entire cemetery architecture integrates the styles of East Sichuan residential buildings and local cultural architectural art, presenting a majestic and solemn atmosphere.

Historical Evolution

Dashun Township was renamed from Mingjia Township on May 16, 2008, during the district’s administrative division adjustment. It is one of the three old revolutionary base townships in Fuling District. Backed by its rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as abundant water resources, tourism resources, and forest resources, it has been listed as one of the key old revolutionary base and cultural tourism townships under the district’s focused development plan.
