The Liangping Pomelo Eco-Sightseeing Garden is located in Longtan Village and Yujia Village, Hexing Town, Liangping County, just 3 kilometers from the county seat and 2 kilometers from Liangping Railway Station on the Dazhou–Wanzhou Railway. A cement road leads directly to the scenic area. The garden has been under planning and construction since 2003, and its supporting facilities are now largely completed. It is an eco-tourism destination that combines agricultural sightseeing, science education, leisure, fitness, entertainment, and shopping.

Covering an area of over 2,000 acres, the garden is home to more than 100,000 high-quality pomelo trees, producing 2 million premium commercial fruits annually with an output value of 4 million yuan. It is a base for high-yield, premium-quality, pollution-free green pomelos. In addition to cultivating high-quality Longtan pomelos for visitors to pick, the garden also features classic Chinese-style leisure pavilions, tables, benches, and fishing ponds. Dedicated walking paths have been created for fruit-picking experiences. The Liangping Pomelo, renowned as one of China’s famous pomelos, has been cultivated in Liangping for over 250 years. The fruit is well-shaped, with thin skin, thick flesh, juicy sweetness, and a delightful balance of color, aroma, and taste. The pomelo trees have large canopies, remain evergreen all year round, and have well-developed root systems. They are not only highly ornamental but also excellent for soil and water conservation. Every year during the blooming season in May and the harvest season in October, the garden is at its most picturesque and fragrant, making these the best times for eco-tourism. Strolling through the serene pomelo orchard, visitors are shaded by the dense foliage of the tall trees, momentarily escaping the hustle and bustle of city life and the stress of work. In spring, the refreshing fragrance of pomelo blossoms fills the air, while their white flowers are a feast for the eyes. In autumn, the crisp scent of ripe fruit wafts through the orchard, with golden, heavy pomelos hanging from the branches. It’s hard to resist picking one, holding it in your arms, taking a bite, and savoring its concentrated fragrance, sweet yet slightly tangy flavor—and feeling a surge of joy from the harvest.
