Beibei Dinosaur Fossil Site
The Beibei Dinosaur Fossil Site is a cultural tourism attraction.
Introduction Chongqing is one of the regions with the highest number of dinosaur discoveries. A total of twelve districts, counties, and cities in the municipality have yielded dinosaur remains, with thirty fossil excavation sites. Beibei is one of the areas where the most dinosaurs have been discovered. Since the first discovery of bird-footed dinosaur skeletal fossils in Jinguangbei in 1939, up to the excavation of three primitive prosauropod dinosaur skeleton fossils in Jianshe Village in 1982, thirteen fossil sites belonging to four major types of dinosaurs have been discovered in various locations including Chengjiang Town, Beibei, Tianshengqiao, Southwest Normal University, Dujiastreet, Sansheng Township, and Tongjiaxi.
