Former Residence of Yan Yangchu: From 19?? to 19??, Mr. Yan Yangchu lived here. In the 1930s, Yan Yangchu, along with Lu Zuofu and Liang Shuming, carried out China's rural reconstruction movement in Beibei.

Located 10 kilometers from downtown Beibei, this is the former residence of the renowned patriotic educator Yan Yangchu. It is situated in the fruit orchards of the Citrus Research Institute by Motan River and is a single-story, traditional three-courtyard house built with brick and wood. In 1940, Yan Yangchu came here to establish the "China Rural Reconstruction Institute," serving as its president and residing here for an extended period. In 1943, he was honored as one of the “Modern World Greats with Revolutionary Contributions.” In 1950, he went to the United States, where he was appointed Chairman of the International Committee for the Promotion of Literacy and resided there for the rest of his life.
