Chaoyang Stone Forest Scenic Area
The Chaoyang Stone Forest is situated in Huayan Village, Chaoyangdong Township, Wenfeng District, Wuxi County. It enjoys a prime location and easy access, being about 60 km from downtown Wuxi County. The area contains roughly 3 square kilometers of densely packed, visually striking stone forest formations. Here, stone forests, caves, canyons, sinkholes, and other features merge into one, with undulating peaks in countless fantastic shapes—nature’s artistry so refined it resembles an exquisitely carved jade bonsai. Highlights include a “stone man” about 20 meters tall, along with oddly shaped rocks whose mouths and ears closely resemble those of a cat, plus attractions such as large and small stone gates and stone streets.
