Yinggehai

Yinggehai is located in the southwest of Ledong. A small town has been built around the coastline, where the locals are simple and hospitable, making a living by fishing and drying fish—an interesting sight. The natural scenery of Yinggehai is beautiful and unique, with attractions such as Yinggehai Bay, tide-friendly reefs, wide sandy beaches, sunset glow, and water channels that are truly captivating. Legend has it that there is a large expanse of sand dunes in this bay, covered with trees such as tamarind, chicken-pecking trees, wild pineapples, and dragonbone trees, as well as abundant aquatic plants. The lush greenery attracted a species of seabird known as “Yingge,” which flocked here year-round to nest—hence the beautiful name “Yinggehai Bay.” The bay blends seamlessly with the sky. When the sun sets, the ever-changing clouds and mirages spark the imagination.
