Bayi General Farm

Bayi General Farm was established in June 1957, originally known as the state-owned Hesheng Reclamation Farm. In October 1958, it merged with Yazheng Township, Hesheng Township, the Youth Cooperative, and the state-owned Yazheng Farm of Danzhou City to form the Bayi People's Commune. In April 1959, it was expanded into the Bayi Farm, a sub-military-level military-run enterprise under the leadership of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In April 1969, Bayi Farm was reorganized into the 10th Division of the Production and Construction Corps of the Guangzhou Military Region of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In October 1974, the "Corps" structure was disbanded, and the 10th Division was renamed Bayi General Farm. It was later entrusted by the General Logistics Department to the Guangzhou Military Region and handed over to the Guangdong Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, coming under the leadership of the Hainan Administrative Region Agricultural Reclamation Bureau. In September 1990, the Hainan Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Bureau decided to use "Bayi" as the leading entity, incorporating four state-owned farms—Xihua, Xipei, Longshan, and Hongling—to form the Hainan Provincial Agricultural Reclamation State-Owned Bayi General Farm (in December 1993, the aforementioned four farms were separated and came under the direct leadership of the Hainan Agricultural Reclamation Bureau; Bayi General Farm retained its organizational structure). In 2004, during the restructuring and reorganization of Hainan’s agricultural reclamation, the Hainan Natural Rubber Industry Group Co., Ltd. was established, and the farm was simultaneously listed as the Bayi Branch of the Hainan Natural Rubber Industry Group Co., Ltd.
