The Martyrs' Memorial Pavilion and Former Residence of Wang Wenming are Hainan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units and classic red tourism sites.

The Martyrs' Memorial Pavilion and Former Residence of Wang Wenming are patriotic education bases in Hainan Province. The memorial pavilion is located on Dongfeng Road, Jiaji Town, Qionghai City, while the former residence is situated in Yiliang Village, Yangjiang Town, Qionghai City. It is managed by the Qionghai Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs.

In 1985, the People's Government of Qionghai County (now Qionghai City) constructed the Martyrs' Memorial Pavilion of Wang Wenming. The pavilion covers an area of 0.5 mu. It has a hexagonal shape, is 5 meters high, features a glazed tile roof, and has six walls adorned with ceramic tiles. The inscription “Martyrs' Memorial Pavilion of Wang Wenming” is carved on the crossbeam above the front entrance, and the pavilion is surrounded by concrete railings.

The former residence of Wang Wenming is located in Yiliang Village, Qionghai City. Originally built in the early years of the Republic of China, it was demolished by the Kuomintang army. In July 1990, the Qionghai County People's Government reconstructed the residence on the original site, restoring it to its former appearance. The residence is a traditional courtyard-style structure made of brick, tile, wood, and earth. It includes a main house and wing rooms, covers an area of 0.5 mu, and has a construction area of 270 square meters. In November of the same year, Xu Shijie, then Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, inscribed the plaque above the gate: “Former Residence of Wang Wenming.”

Wang Wenming, styled Qinpu and also known as En’an, was born on November 1, 1894, into a farming family in Yiliang Village, the Fourth District of Luohui County (now Yangjiang Town, Qionghai City), eastern Hainan. His father, Wang Shouren, worked as a rural private school teacher. His mother, surnamed Chen, was a hardworking and virtuous farmer’s wife. In his childhood, Wang Wenming studied at a private school with his father. At the age of 14, he was admitted to the Licheng Higher Primary School run by the county. After graduating from primary school, he had to drop out due to his family’s financial difficulties.
