Beihai Silver Beach is a famous tourist attraction in Beihai City, located in Yinhai District, Beihai, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, covering an area of approximately 38 square kilometers.

The Beihai Silver Beach Tourist Resort is located on the southern coast of Beihai City, about 8 kilometers from downtown Beihai. The beach stretches from the fishing harbor of Qiaogang Town in the west to Daguansha in the east, and is composed of the western section, eastern section, and the sea beach area. It extends about 24 kilometers from east to west, with beach widths ranging between 30 to 3,000 meters. The land area covers 12 square kilometers, and the total area is about 38 square kilometers, surpassing the combined beach areas of Dalian, Yantai, Qingdao, Xiamen, and Beidaihe. The average slope is only 0.05.

The beaches are formed by high-quality quartz sand, which glistens silver under the sunlight due to their pure white and fine texture—hence the name "Silver Beach." Beihai Silver Beach is acclaimed as "China's No. 1 Beach" for its characteristics of "long and flat beach, fine and white sand, clean water temperature, soft waves, and no sharks."

Guangxi takes pride in the saying, "Guilin has its mountains and rivers in the north, and Beihai has its Silver Beach in the south." The waters of the Beihai Silver Beach Resort are pristine, the coastal vegetation lush, the environment serene and elegant, and the air exceptionally fresh. It can accommodate the world’s largest-scale beach sports and entertainment activities, as well as marine sports and recreation projects, making it the most ideal coastal bathing site and water sports destination in southern China. On January 4, 1997, Yang Shangkun inscribed the words "The Finest Beach Under Heaven" at Beihai Silver Beach.

The Beihai Silver Beach Resort consists of three resort units (Silver Beach Park, Beach Park, and Hengli Marine Sports & Resort Entertainment Center), along with coastal residential villas and a cluster of hotels. The main offerings include sea bathing, marine sports, beach golf, volleyball, soccer, and other beach sports, as well as large musical fountain shows, tourism entertainment, and more.

The Beihai Silver Beach bathing area is spacious, with fast tidal retreats and slow incoming tides. The beach has strong self-cleaning capabilities and a high safety index for swimming. The seawater transparency exceeds 2 meters—more than double the average standard of China’s coastal waters—with an annual average water temperature of 23.7°C.

During the attractive seven to eight-month swimming season at Silver Beach, you can bask in the brilliant sunshine under blue skies and white clouds, play and frolic on the pristine white sands, swim freely in the gentle waves, and meditate in the salty ocean breeze. Take to the skies with a parachute over the sea, ride thrilling motorboats through the waves, or enjoy relaxing beach sports, delightful bird performances, and captivating foreign cultural song and dance shows. Long and Flat Beach

The Beihai Silver Beach features a broad, continuous shoreline. The beach is over 100 meters wide and stretches more than 20 kilometers, with an area that exceeds the combined beach areas of Xiamen, Qingdao, Dalian, Yantai, and Beidaihe. The expansive beach can accommodate 100,000 to 150,000 visitors for bathing each day.

Fine and White Sand

The sand at Beihai Silver Beach is fine, soft, and snow-white. The beach is formed by high-quality quartz sand, which glistens with a silvery sheen under sunlight.

Clean Water Temperature

The seawater at Beihai Silver Beach undergoes natural circulation due to the slow tides and fast retreats, resulting in exceptionally clear and pristine water.

Soft Waves

The terrain of Beihai Silver Beach is gently sloped. With its flat beach, calm tides, and mild waves, the water gradually deepens from shallow to deep. Even when swimming over 100 meters out, the water level still does not reach over your head, making it an ideal spot for swimming.

Fresh Air

High Negative Ion Levels. Negative ions in the air can regulate the excitation and inhibition of the central nervous system, improve brain cortex function, and help eliminate fatigue and promote metabolism. Just as the air in "Hawaii" can be bottled and sold, so can the air in Beihai, known as the "Oriental Hawaii."

On July 2, 2012, Beihai Silver Beach ranked third in the first online selection of "China’s Top Ten Most Beautiful Beaches."

Qiaogang Town: As an important part of Beihai’s open economic zone, Qiaogang Town is located at the southern tip of Beihai City, right in the middle section of Beihai Silver Beach. It borders Beihai International Passenger Terminal to the east, the Beibu Gulf to the south, and Xian Tian Town’s Dianjian Village to the west.

To the north lies the Overseas Chinese Investment Development Zone. The provincial highway, Guangxi Coastal Avenue, runs nearby, while municipal roads such as Sichuan South Road, Guizhou South Road, and Yunnan South Road lead directly into the town.
