Qiaogang Beach

Qiaogang Beach is located in Qiaogang Town, west of Beihai Silver Beach. It stretches from the Qiaogang Lighthouse in the east to 350 meters west of Tianhu Hotel in the west. The beach is about 500 meters wide and is formed by thousands of years of accumulation of pure, high-grade quartz sand. Its snow-white, silvery, fine, and soft sand is a rare sight in the world. The waters of the beach area are free from industrial pollution, and all seawater quality indicators exceed the national first-class water standards. The seawater transparency exceeds two meters, more than double the average standard for China’s coastal waters. The air contains over 5,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic meter, 50–1,000 times higher than that of inland cities. The beach offers a variety of recreational activities, including sea yachting, horseback riding, surfing, and beach soccer. Facilities are well-equipped, including parking lots. In addition, accommodation, shopping, fresh water showers, and transportation are all very convenient.
