Hepu Hanlu Cultural Park

The Hepu Hanlu Cultural Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Hanlu Cultural Park is situated on Dinghai South Road, Lianzhou Town, Hepu County, Beihai City, covering an area of 145 mu. It is divided into the Han Dynasty Culture Museum Area, the Han Culture Experience Area, and the Maritime Silk Road Culture Sightseeing Area. It features a lakeside ecological landscape belt, a Maritime Silk Road cultural landscape road, and eight (Han Family Tombs, Bustling Streets, Melodious Stages, Millennium--, Maritime Chronicles, Moon over Western Tower, International Expo, Ink Aroma and Book Rhyme) Han culture scenic spots, constructing a spatial structure of “One Belt, One Road, Eight Nodes.” It brings together the cultural features of the Maritime Silk Road, the Han Commandery, South Sea Pearls, and Lingnan, presenting visitors with a “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”-like scene of ancient Hepu Commandery.

The Hanlu Cultural Park was developed on the foundation of the Han Dynasty Culture Museum and serves as an important platform for inheriting and promoting outstanding traditional Chinese culture. It has become the largest Han culture-themed park in China and the only one in Guangxi, as well as the leading attraction in Hepu County’s efforts to establish the core brand of the Maritime Silk Road. In 2016, it was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a key project of Guangxi’s characteristic cultural industry.

The Hanlu Cultural Park is adjacent to the largest cluster of Han tombs in China and the Wenchang Pagoda from the Ming Dynasty. The park is divided into the Han Dynasty Culture Museum Area, the Han Life Experience Area, and the Maritime Silk Road Culture Sightseeing Area, forming a spatial structure of “One Belt, One Road, Eight Nodes.” It highlights the cultural features of the Han Commandery, South Sea Pearls, and Lingnan, presenting a vivid “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”-like portrayal of ancient Hepu Commandery.

Hanfu refers to the traditional ethnic clothing of the Han Chinese and is one of the oldest ethnic costumes in the world. Hanfu is uniquely suited to integrate with traditional Chinese culture in areas such as literature and art, poetry, music, calligraphy, painting, martial arts, swordsmanship, music, dance, tea ceremonies, and more. Throughout history, Hanfu has fully embodied the moral values of “benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness,” and stands as a significant symbol of the pure and beautiful art of traditional Chinese attire.

Lianzhou Town: Located by the Beibu Gulf, Lianzhou Town is the seat of the Hepu County People's Government and the political, economic, and cultural center of Hepu. The town covers an area of 229 square kilometers, governs 29 village (residential) committees, has 4,047.3 hectares of arable land, and had a population of 150,000 at the end of 2001, making it the largest town in Hepu County. National Highways 325 and 209, the North-South Second-Class Highway, and expressways pass through the town. It is only 16 kilometers from Beihai International Airport, 30 kilometers from Beihai Port, and the Qinzhou-Beihai Railway has a station in the southern suburbs of Lianzhou. With convenient sea, land, and air transportation, the town enjoys a very prominent geographical advantage.
