Meihua Mountain, also known as Santai Mountain, is located southwest of Laizhou Village in Jiuzhou Town, approximately 1.69 kilometers from the village office. The main peak stands at an elevation of 1,400.8 meters, with three peaks standing side by side in the shape of the Chinese character "山" (mountain). About 0.8 kilometers below the main peak, there are a series of domed peaks surrounding it, resembling the petals of a plum blossom—hence the name. On the southwestern side of the mountain, cliffs rise thousands of feet, and beyond the precipice lies the territory of Longlin Various Nationalities Autonomous County. Standing at the saddle of the main peak and looking toward that direction, the mountain ranges stretch out endlessly beneath your feet, resembling surging ocean waves. Sometimes, drifting rain clouds move in, and when a cool breeze blows, countless rain threads fall from the sky while the sun shines brilliantly above the clouds, casting the area below into a hazy mist. The other three sides feature hilltops shaped like buns, lined up one after another before your eyes, reminding one of the folk rhyme “eighty-eight slopes, ninety-nine hollows.” Upon closer inspection, they begin to resemble plum blossom petals, making you feel as if you are standing right in the heart of the flower. The most beautiful time is during the golden autumn season when the small hawthorn fruits growing in the shrubs atop the round peaks ripen, glowing bright red like dancing flames. At this time, the dark green shrubs interspersed among the red create a scene as if a master painter had splashed colors freely—each petal of the plum blossom imprinted deeply in your memory.
