Tomb of the Cen Clan at Nongliang

The Tomb of the Cen Clan at Nongliang is a cultural tourism attraction.

The tomb site is located in Nongliang, about 1.5 kilometers southwest of Xingning Street in Jiucheng Township, Pingguo County, and is quite large in scale. Legend has it that it is the tomb of the ancestors of Cen Ying, a local Tusi (indigenous chieftain), and was built during the Ming Dynasty. The tomb complex covers an area of 5–8 mu (approximately 0.33–0.53 hectares), though the burial chamber no longer exists. Remaining artifacts include stone pillars (in the shape of ornamental columns), stone figures, stone turtles, stone dragons, stone horses, and a tomb stele. The site originally also had numerous stone carvings such as stone figures (depicting a boy and a girl), stone pigs, stone horses, stone qilins, stone tigers, stone sheep, and stone dogs. These artifacts hold considerable artistic and aesthetic value.

Due to a lack of proper management, some of these stone sculptures have been scattered to nearby villages and the streets of Xingning. The site is now a key cultural relic protection unit of the autonomous region.
