Horse Head Mountain

This mountain is called Horse Head Mountain because its shape resembles a horse’s head. At the summit, there is a stone horse with one front leg raised, and the base of the statue bears two characters: “Soaring” (腾飞). On the way down the mountain, there are many classical-style pavilions and merit steles that promote the organizations involved in building this park. Near the foot of the mountain, I saw a very large lake with fairly clean water. On the opposite hill stands a memorial hall dedicated to Liu Yalou, a founding marshal of China. The scenery is quite beautiful, and with the vast fields nearby, the environment is really lovely.
