Pingguo Luxian Lake National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Guangxi Pingguo Luxian Lake National Wetland Park is located in Pingguo County, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a total area of 967.37 hectares.

The Luxian Lake National Wetland Park is located in the northeastern part of Pingguo County and includes the Bujian Reservoir, Xinxu River, and Nama Reservoir, as well as their corresponding river and lake floodplains and protective forests on both sides. The wetland park spans 13.39 kilometers from east to west and 15.34 kilometers from north to south. The planned area of the wetland park includes four types of wetlands: permanent river wetlands, floodplain wetlands, reservoirs and ponds, and aquaculture farms, with a total planned area of 855.13 hectares, of which wetland areas account for 541.67 hectares, or 63.34% of the total land area.

The wetland resources in the park are extremely rich, with vast water areas, unique mountain landscapes, abundant flora and fauna, and distinct regional characteristics, offering high conservation value.

The Luxian Lake Leisure Resort is located in Pingguo County, nestled along the Youjiang River. It enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate with abundant sunlight and heat, plentiful rainfall, and mild winters. The warm and pleasant climate, abundant water sources, and diverse vegetation together form a vivid and charming subtropical landscape painting. Luxian Lake is the first medium-sized reservoir in Pingguo County, with a catchment area of 125 square kilometers. The reservoir features wide water surfaces, with the deepest areas reaching 30–40 meters. It is surrounded by dense woods and enjoys a cool and pleasant climate. Luxian Lake is only 3 kilometers from the county town, with the Nanning–Wuming Secondary Highway passing through the reservoir area and just 300 meters from the planned Mashan–Pingguo Expressway. Its geographical and transportation location is highly advantageous. The reservoir area boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters, a pleasant environment, rich vegetation, simple local customs, and convenient transportation. Its abundant hydrological landscapes and surrounding pastoral scenery create a vivid and natural eco-tourism environment. The terrain around Luxian Lake is varied, with the water surface alternating between wide and narrow, creating a dynamic spatial experience. Boating here, your view constantly shifts — the shimmering lake water winds around the mountains, often bringing the delightful surprise of “a hidden path amidst the mountains, then suddenly a bright village ahead.”

The mountains around Luxian Lake are mainly earthen hills, with many flat areas among them. Trees grow densely across the slopes. Walking here, you can breathe in the fresh forest air, listen to the faint chirping of birds hidden among the trees, and let the gentle lake breeze brush over you. Your mood instantly becomes relaxed, and worldly worries and stress vanish in an instant — making it a perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

On December 25, 2019, it passed the acceptance inspection of the 2019 pilot national wetland parks by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and was officially designated as a “National Wetland Park.”
