Xiangzhou Hot Springs is located 81 kilometers southeast of Liuzhou City and 8 kilometers from Xiangzhou County in Reshui Village, Sicun Town. Formerly known as Pusui Famous Spring, it was also called "Huachi Hot Springs," and is commonly referred to locally as "Reshui."

The area is embraced by green mountains and crisscrossed by streams, with picturesque pastoral views. In this beautiful countryside setting, heat rises year-round, and mist swirls, creating an ethereal and almost dreamlike atmosphere. This is not just a fairyland scene but the natural wonder of Xiangzhou Hot Springs, which was beautifully praised by the Ming Dynasty scholar Liu Zhiying: “Warm vapors and rosy mists shroud the unspoiled scene; like heavenly springs descending from the Milky Way. Beside the well, cinnabar boils clear liquid; in the harp’s tune, warm winds stir green waves. Cascading waterfalls and drifting clouds exude serenity; cool springs reflecting the moon hold little sun’s warmth. Clearly, this is the harmonizing fire of healing waters—do not mistake them for ordinary mountain streams and rocks.”

The hot spring area enjoys an elegant environment where green mountains, clear waters, fields, bubbling springs, and mountain dwellings complement one another, forming an exceptionally beautiful and uniquely distinctive natural painting. Two natural hot springs gush from underground. The larger spring is about 7 meters long and 3 meters wide, connected to a river, with steaming water at the surface and fish swimming at the bottom. The mixing of the upper and lower water layers gradually brings the temperature to a comfortable level suitable for bathing. A viewing pavilion has been built by the spring for visitors to rest and enjoy the scenery. The smaller spring is square-shaped, approximately 1.5 meters in both length and width, with a higher water temperature of around 86°C. All year round, vapors rise and mists linger, truly “steaming like the vapor above a steamer, and hot like soup in a cauldron.” If you place an egg in the hot water, it will be cooked in 30–40 minutes, with a deliciously tender taste. “Pusui Famous Spring” is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Xiangzhou and has attracted numerous visitors for thousands of years. Inscriptions and poems by scholars throughout history have added further charm to the thermal springs.

The spring water comes from hot rocks several hundred meters underground. The water is crystal clear and contains more than twenty types of trace elements beneficial to the human body, such as metasilicic acid, strontium, copper, iron, magnesium, calcium, iodine, and barium. It can help prevent and treat skin diseases, stomach ailments, indigestion, neurasthenia, and rheumatism when used for bathing.

The water temperature of Xiangzhou Hot Springs reaches up to 86 degrees Celsius. The spring water is crystal clear, colorless, tasteless, and unpolluted. It contains over twenty types of trace elements that are beneficial to health, such as metasilicic acid, strontium, copper, iron, magnesium, calcium, iodine, and barium. Authenticated by experts from the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Light Industry (Food), and Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, it has been designated as “high-quality natural high-temperature mineral drinking water.” Its water temperature and metasilicic acid content meet the standards of medicinal mineral springs. It is not only a natural and ideal health beverage but also offers therapeutic benefits for skin diseases, stomach issues, indigestion, neurasthenia, and rheumatism when used for hydrotherapy. It has unique effects in eliminating fatigue and promoting blood circulation.

Xiangzhou Hot Springs enjoys the reputation of being the “No. 1 Hot Spring in Central and South China,” known for its characteristics of “cleansing illnesses through bathing and cooking fresh delicacies in its waters.”

The Xiangzhou Hot Springs Resort has developed facilities including a hot spring hotel and swimming pool operated by the county tourism company, restaurants, bathhouses, as well as the hot spring source scenic area (Source Hotel) invested in by merchants, various resort villas, and a mineral water plant solely funded by Taiwanese investors. These have collectively formed a resort destination integrating the seven essential elements of “dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, and therapy.” Additionally, the Xiangzhou Huachi Mountain Hot Springs Resort project, which fully embodies pristine ecology, has also commenced construction.

Sicun Town: Sicun Town is located in the central part of Xiangzhou County, Liuzhou Region, Guangxi. It is 19 li from the county center, covering an area of 219.2 square kilometers. The arable land area is 74,866.2 mu, including 53,966.7 mu of paddy fields and 20,899.5 mu of dry land. The town has a population of 47,639, of which 45,702 are agricultural residents. The town is home to more than 10 ethnic groups, including Han and Zhuang, among which the Zhuang ethnic group accounts for 70.6% of the total population, the Han for 27.2%, and other minority groups for 2.2%.
