Located in Zhongping Town, Xiangzhou County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Accessible via Provincial Highway 20134 leading to a third-grade asphalt road. It is a natural scenic area characterized by pastoral landscapes, with ancient banyan trees as its most iconic feature. In the Zhongping area, nearly every village has ancient banyans, earning it the reputation of the “Hometown of Ancient Banyans.” Situated on the western side of the Dayao Mountain Range, the area features low-lying terrain with dense rivers and valleys. The banyan trees mostly grow along both banks of the rivers, with most being over 500 years old. Key representatives include the Seven Stars Ancient Banyan, Renyi Ancient Banyan, Zixie Ancient Banyan, Pan岩 Ancient Banyan, and Guojiang Ancient Banyan. Among them, the Seven Stars Ancient Banyan is the most notable. Located near He Village in Zhongping Town, seven ancient banyans, each over 500 years old, are aligned along the stream in the shape of the Big Dipper, hence the name Seven Stars Ancient Banyan, symbolizing unity, peace, and prosperity. Other attractions include the Renyi River, Ancient Mill Spring, Luohan Rock, and Ganwang Temple. Since the reform and opening-up, Zhongping Town has successively established a high-quality grain base and an autonomous region-level sericulture demonstration site. The attractions are generally within 5 kilometers of each other, making the area suitable for self-guided travel activities such as hiking, cycling, and driving. It is also one of Guangxi’s important destinations for “rural tourism.”
