Pangu Holy One

This is the bodhisattva that Li Jishen often used to touch when he played at Huifeng Temple as a child. At the time, Li Jishen stayed at his maternal grandfather’s home in Zicun and frequently visited Huifeng Temple. Sometimes he would climb up into the shrine to touch the bodhisattva’s head, beard, and ears, inevitably drawing scolding from his uncle and aunt. But Li Jishen would innocently say: “The bodhisattva is my good friend. He won’t blame me. I want to ask Pangu Holy One to carry me far away.”
