Jianpan Mountain Stone Garden is located on the north side of the middle section of Pingshan Avenue. Completed in November 1994, it covers an area of 4.25 hectares and is currently the largest specialized stone garden in Guangxi and even across China.

Guangxi is home to many scenic mountains and beautiful waters, with extremely rich stone resources. The Liuzhou area, in particular, has the greatest variety, quantity, and most distinctive shapes, colors, textures, and patterns of stones, which are ever-changing. Collectors and merchants from all over the country and even abroad who are passionate about stones or engaged in the stone trade come here in an endless stream to seek purchases. The saying "Liuzhou stones are the best under heaven" has gradually become widely acknowledged among stone lovers, admirers, collectors, and connoisseurs. Designed with the concept of showcasing Guangxi’s unique stone culture, Jianpan Mountain Stone Garden is the first scenic stone garden in Guangxi. The garden primarily focuses on exhibiting stones while also providing leisure and sightseeing functions.

The main entrance of the stone garden is the West Gate, covering an area of 400 square meters. Its architecture features exposed beams and columns, bamboo and wood imitation designs, a straight-sloped roof, and an open, airy space with a beautiful visual form and strong ethnic characteristics. The gate is inscribed with the plaques “Jianpan Mountain Stone Garden” and “Spring Stone Cloud Crane,” while the pillars bear the couplets: “The mountain truly has charm, appreciated through discernment; the stone cannot speak, yet invites endless speculation,” and “The sky is vast and the sea is broad, the mountain is unworldly; the land is blessed and people are harmonious, the stone is spiritual.” Upon entering the gate, the “Gushing Currents Courageously Advance” stone landscape greets visitors, combining dynamic and static water features with clustered and scattered stones, resembling a natural landscape, using over 800 tons of stones. The large southern lawn is sparsely planted with osmanthus, Milan, camellia, Araucaria, and queen palms, interspersed with weathered scenic stones from Liuzhou. To the east and west are the pebble scenic areas, with the largest stone weighing about 10 tons. These colorful pebbles of various shapes and sizes create a vibrant scene in the babbling stream. To the north lies a famous Liuzhou attraction—Jianpan Mountain, at the foot of which lies Jianpan Lake, featuring waterside pavilions and small bridges.

On the southern shore of the lake stands the “Bagu Exquisite Stone Museum.” The building occupies a ground area of 700 square meters, with a total construction area of 1,400 square meters. It features cantilevered beams and hanging columns, exterior walls adorned with bamboo and wood reliefs, and a roof decorated with greenish-gray glazed tiles, embodying the architectural style of ethnic minority residences in central Guangxi. The museum has three floors: the first floor houses exhibition halls, the Yishi Studio, and the Shiyou Studio; the second floor is an exhibition area; and the third floor is the “Treasure Collection Pavilion,” capable of displaying over 1,800 stone artworks of various sizes at once. The entrance is adorned with the plaques “Bagu Exquisite Stone Museum” and “Stone and I as One,” while the pillars display the couplet: “Exquisite stones are precious for their natural forms—whether void or solid, fat or lean, all are priceless; masterpieces are created by human hands—each shape, color, texture, and pattern carries its own sentiment.”

Jianpan Mountain is located within Liuzhou Jianpan Mountain Park. Currently, there are two climbing routes, one 20 meters long and the other 19 meters long, with difficulties rated at 5.9 and 5.10A respectively.
