Yaobu Ancient Town, one of Liuzhou’s ten key projects and the crowning jewel of the Hundred Li Liujiang River, is located on Dongdi South Road at the foot of Panlong Mountain. It enjoys a prime CBD location and serves as the dazzling pearl of the “Hundred Li Liujiang,” boasting first-class river views. Covering an area of 400,000 square meters, this charming ancient-style town serves as Liuzhou’s urban reception hall.

With a total area of 86,406.55 m², Yaobu Ancient Town is situated in Hedong New District, a key development area of Liuzhou municipal government. This site not only occupies a central position in Hedong New District but also offers first-class river views. It is closely adjacent to the CBD’s office, commercial, and residential hubs, while being surrounded by municipal parks, Panlong Mountain Park, and riverside scenic areas, giving it the natural advantage of being the CBD’s backyard garden. As mandated by the government, the construction of Yaobu Ancient Town aims to recreate the simple charm of the ancient Yaobu village and its historic docks, further highlighting the unique cultural heritage and allure of Liuzhou as a renowned historical city. Once completed, Yaobu Ancient Town will be a multifunctional complex integrating urban leisure, high-end dining, cultural entertainment, and tourism.

The planning and design of Yaobu Ancient Town are based on the core concept of “reviving the traditional charm of the old Yaobu town and restoring the former prosperity of the ancient dock,” striving to showcase the coexistence and harmony of multi-ethnic cultures, reflecting the unity and balance of nature, history, society, ethnicity, culture, and human settlements. The development of Yaobu Ancient Town includes two main zones: the Ancient Dock Commercial Street Area and the Dong Village Cultural Scenic Area.

The Ancient Town Commercial Street Area consists of the Zhuang Ethnic Style Street, Miao Ethnic Style Street, Yao Ethnic Style Street, and a riverside leisure promenade. It houses public cultural facilities such as the Guangxi Gui Opera Museum, a theater stage, the Guangxi Folk Museum, and the Wenchang Pavilion. The Dong Village Cultural Scenic Area includes structures such as the Drum Tower Square and a cluster of Dong ethnic residential buildings. “Yaobu Ancient Town” has become a new cultural landmark for Liuzhou.
