Gaolutai Site
The Gaolutai Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Zhuzhou City.
The Gaolutai Site is located in Tielutang Village, Yajiangqiao Township, You County. According to records, the site dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties through the Han Dynasty, covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters.
The Gaolutai Site is the largest discovered site in Zhuzhou and is rich in cultural content. Judging from the pottery shard samples collected at the site, during the Shang and Zhou periods, the Yue people inhabited the Yajiangqiao area. The Yue people later appeared in southern Hunan, Guangxi, Vietnam, and other regions.
