Lujifeng is located in the eastern urban district. The mountain has two peaks resembling pens, perpetually shrouded in white mist, hence the phrase “White clouds linger over Lupo Peak.” Historical records state that Han Dynasty’s Su Dan and Ming Dynasty’s top scholar Luo Hongxian attained enlightenment here. On the mountain, the Suxian Hermitage, Suxian Pavilion, Bagua Well, and Ascension Stone appear ethereally amidst the drifting clouds. Today, the mountain is covered with lush pines and cypresses, and a road leads all the way to the summit. A grand Lufeng Temple has been rebuilt, the Bagua Well has been restored, a stele wall has been constructed, and a telephone tower stands tall above the clouds, making it a popular destination for sightseeing and summer retreats.
